CCSA Values:

  • CCSA is committed to challenging systemic inequities that exist within the world of work and strives to create opportunities, dialogue, and tangible efforts amongst ourselves, as well as stakeholders we individually serve, to break down structures that perpetuate oppression.

  • CCSA strives to create a space where identities, experiences, and contributions are valued. We as a collective community work towards a culture of authenticity in which individuals feel welcome to share freely and openly.

  • Community & Professional Responsibility: As CCSA participants, we connect with each other to engage, learn, and grow in our fields of work, building a community of collaborative support. With attention to ethics and integrity, we work together toward common goals as individuals and institutions.

  • CCSA acknowledges the landscape of higher education as ever-changing, nuanced, and complicated. We are committed to supporting participants in pursuing their own growth and development in ways that are individualized, fulfilling, and contribute to creating a robust association of career services professionals.

  • All CCSA participants will:

    • Follow the values of CCSA.

    • Respect individuals’ identities, both visible and invisible.

    • Honor the journey of all professionals.

    • Support each other's growth and development.

    • Commit to increasing knowledge and awareness of how legacies of oppression (for example white supremacy, classism, and ableism) have impacted the foundation of career and not be complacent in allowing inequitable core assumptions to continue in the world of work.
